Lady Gaga caps an incredible year with a hit album, chart-topping singles, three Grammys, and numerous other honors by being named as the Entertainer of the Year by the Associated Press.

The musician, who recently launched her Born This Way Foundation and met with White House staff to determine ways to end bullying, received more votes than Steve Jobs and Adele as the person whom AP editors and broadcasters consider the past year's most influential in culture and entertainment.
