Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Las Vegas. Blasphemous, I know, but I'm just not into cigarette smoke and bachelor parties. But when I got an invitation to come to the opening of Share, Las Vegas's newest gay club, I figured I'd try it out.
When I got there, I couldn't help myself but to think about reviewing this club a la Saturday Night Live's Stefon:
"If you're looking for a good time, look no further. Las Vegas's hottest club is Share. It's got everything: foam, lights, Jay Leno's former intern, two of the five Queer Eyes for the Straight Guy, pantless servers, and the mayor of Las Vegas offering a proclamation. Don't look now, but there's a drag queen dressed as a pirate. So come on down this weekend, when DJ Pornstar spins as guys dance in a big shadow box onstage."
No joke, all of that happened.
You can pay for some frisky, private lap dances (from hot male and female dancers, thank goodness) in the Ultra Lounge upstairs, but I'm too cash-strapped to indulge, and I'm sure that would have raised eyebrows in our accounting department if I tried to expense it. But really, Share is a fun place away from the Strip to knock back a few drinks and have a good time, especially on theme nights like Stripper Circus and Pants Off Dance Off. It kind of makes me want to go back for more sin in the city.
