Hi there,
🚨 A new post on the White House website details the Trump administration’s actions against gender-affirming care for transgender minors. In a surprise to no one, it’s full of misleading information.
📞 Karine Jean-Pierre and others have called out Trump’s proposed cuts to LGBTQ+ suicide prevention services, including related to the 988 hotline, which health experts and advocates alike say could be harmful for queer youth. “For countless LGBTQ+ individuals, the crisis line isn’t just a service — it’s a lifeline,” Jean-Pierre told The Advocate. “It’s what stands between despair and survival, isolation and hope.”
🎉 Chase Glenn, a transgender man who has led the largest LGBTQ+ advocacy organization in South Carolina, is coming on to the national stage as the new executive director of the GenderCool Project. “I feel so deeply connected to this work that I’m stepping into,” Glenn told The Advocate.
Onwards and upwards,
