Variety reports that an internal Viacom memo leaked to the Web says that the company's proposed gay and lesbian cable channel will be called Outlet. A spokesperson for Viacom--which owns both MTV and Showtime, the two networks that will collaborate on the new channel--said, "It's too premature for us to comment on this." The memo also says that the new network could launch as early as this spring.
