A 27-year-old man
was raped in Manchester after an evening out with
friends. The attacker locked the victim in a car and
threatened him with a knife before proceeding to rape
him, reports the BBC.
Greater
Manchester Police say the victim was then driven to another
location and suffered a second assault. The victim was able
to escape on Lord Sheldon Way after the rapist
demanded money from him.
Police are being
proactive in apprehending the suspect but are asking the
Manchester gay community to be on guard.
"This was a
horrific attack on a man who had been having a night out
with friends," said Det. Con. Pete Slater of Greater
Manchester Police. "I would also ask
members of the gay community to be vigilant around
this area as this man may attempt this again." (The
