Trans Character on HBO Comedy

Bored to Death, the acclaimed HBO comedy, gets a transgender twist in the episode airing tonight, titled "Escape From the Castle." The series stars Ted Danson, Zach Galifianakis, and Jonathan Schwartzman as a private detective version of writer Jonathan Ames.

In the episode Ames is hired by his dermatologist to deliver a message to his girlfriend, who is being held at her parents’ Korean spa. True to form for the droll trio, no one is fazed when the fiancée, named Hee, is revealed to be an MTF.
