Around 180,000 people crowded into the already-jammed streets of Tel Aviv, Israel, for the city's 16th annual Pride Parade Friday.
A giant ketuba (canopy) was erected in the center of all the action, where Pridegoers posed for photographs beneath a sign that proclaimed "Allow Civil Marriage in Israel," The Jerusalem Post reports.
Some business owners complained they were excluded from benefiting from the extraordinary street traffic because the parade route was changed. Still, the seven-day celebration of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender life, capped by the parade, turned the city into one giant rainbow. See photos below.
