Out country music singer Steve Grand is a man of his word, and after months of anticipation, he honored his promise to attend Tuesday's Marine Corps Ball with gay marine Sgt. Tanner White.

In September, White asked the "All American Boy" singer to the ball -- an annual celebration of the day the Marines were formed -- with a sweet YouTube video that swiftly went viral, and Grand accepted with a heartfelt YouTube video of his own.

"I want to say that I'm honored to accept your invitation to be your date at the Marine Corps Ball this November," Grand said when he agreed to be White's plus-one. "Thank you so much for your service to this country and I look forward to a really fun evening with you in November!"

And from the looks of various Instagram posts Grand made throughout the night, it looked to be a very fun evening, indeed.
