Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal and director Ang Lee will both be honored with the Human Rights Campaign's Equality Award at the organization's Greater New York Gala Dinner on Saturday, February 11. "We are honored to be awarding both Jake Gyllenhaal and Ang Lee with the Human Rights Campaign's Equality Award," said HRC president Joe Solmonese in a statement. "Their work on this film has helped reshape the debate and changed the cultural fabric of our country." Also honored at the event will be actor Chris Meloni (Law and Order: SVU) for his efforts as a vocal supporter of LGBT equality.
