Lucas Silveira, lead singer of the Cliks, announced that drummer Morgan Doctor and bassist Jen Benton are leaving the band.
"To be blunt, the road beat us up and knocked us out," Silveira wrote on the band's MySpace blog September 1. "When we all woke up, we each saw a different road ahead. These things happen, it's that simple. I respect their decision and hope you will as well. So what can I say kids, I started this alone, 3 albums and 8 line ups later, in the words of Sir Elton John, 'I'm still standing.'"
Silveira, who is transgender, announced the band would be looking for new members, and it is recruiting Brian Viglione of the Dresden Dolls to play drums for a show on September 26 in Washington, D.C.
