A 19-year-old man died Sunday after being shot Saturday night in San Francisco's Castro district during the city's Pink Saturday celebration, the Associated Press reports.
The San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office said the man's name is Stephen Powell. The exact cause of death had not yet been determined, but Powell was one of three people shot during the annual pre-Pride celebration. The other two victims, a 19-year-old woman and 29-year-old man, are expected to fully recover.
Another 19-year-old man, believed to be the shooter, was taken into custody immediately after the shooting.
According to KGO TV in the video report below, a second suspect was arrested Sunday. Police believe the shooting was gang-related.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing, but police officer Phil Gordon told the San Francisco Chronicle that officials don't believe it was a hate crime. "We think they [the shooter and at least one victim] knew each other," he said.
