Coming out guru and celebrity publicist Howard Bragman talked to Entertainment Weekly about his new show, which will help famous people come out of the closet, "an opportunity to change the world a little," he says.
In the interview, Bragman talks about the differences between coming out in the music world (ie. Adam Lambert) vs. coming out in the acting world (ie. Neil Patrick Harris), which he suggests is still a bit more challenging.
Ever wearing his publicist hat, he already has suggested a scandal within the pilot. He hopes a straight celebrity will fake coming out, just for the publicity.
"That would be a great scandal," he says. "I'd love that, are you kidding? Robert Redford would end up making a movie about it. You're talking to a publicist here, okay? That would be beyond my wildest dreams if some young, hot stud pretends he's gay to get on the show! I hope that happens. And I hope he's a stud and he hits on the host of the show."
