As many as 100 students rallied on the University of
Wisconsin-Whitewater campus Friday to protest antigay bullying after a student wearing a "Legalize Gay" T-shirt
was attacked.
According to the Associated Press, the female student, whose name was not released, was walking around campus when she was approached by two men she did not know. One reportedly called her a homophobic slur, and then punched her in the face.
No arrests have been made in connection with the assault.
A spokeswoman for the university said the attack "shocked" the campus.
