Hi there,
🚲 Democratic U.S. Sen. Adam Schiff will participate in the upcoming AIDS/LifeCycle 2025 ride (the last one) in California, making him the first U.S. senator to take part in the seven-day fundraising bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. He previously participated as a member of the House of Representatives.
👀 Hours after Trump threatened to withhold federal funding from California over a transgender student athlete’s participation, the California Interscholastic Federation announced a new “pilot entry process” for the state championships on May 30–31. The organization said the decision had been made before Trump's threats.
🏛️ The second Trump administration has brought back some familiar faces — and installed new ones with poor track records on LGBTQ+ rights. Here's where each Trump cabinet member stands on LGBTQ+ rights.
Onward and upward,
Alex Cooper
