👀 Pete Buttigieg spoke to NPR in a recent interview and explained his position on trans people participating in sports.
🚨 Twenty-one states have passed anti-LGBTQ+ laws this year so far. Almost 600 bills have been introduced, with 67 becoming law, according to the ACLU.
🗳️ This gay Navy vet is looking to flip a red House seat in Virginia. Democrat Mike Pruitt, 33, is challenging Republican U.S. Rep. John McGuire in a conservative part of the state. Referring to the Trump administration and Trump's military ban on trans troops, Pruitt said, “All they do is lean into the performative cruelty that I worry has become too much of what my opponent is leaning into.” Read The Advocate's interview with Pruitt here.
