The New York Post reports that a book proposal written by Pauline Sutcliffe, sister of "fifth Beatle" Stuart Sutcliffe, claims that John Lennon and Stuart Sutcliffe had a gay affair. Sutcliffe, who dropped out of the band in 1961, is credited with showing the band how to dress and how to put on a show. Pauline Sutcliffe's outline also makes the controversial assertion that Lennon participated in the nightclub beating of Stuart Sutcliffe that led to his death from a mysterious head injury in 1962.
