in California will focus on HIV and African-Americans

Riverside County, Calif., health officials and community organizations are offering a free public forum on November 30 that will focus on the impact of HIV on African-Americans in the county. According to the county health department, African-Americans account for about 9% of the county's population but make up 17% of its HIV cases. The forum, titled "HIV/AIDS: Stop the Silence," will be held at 9:30 a.m. at First Five Riverside, 2002 Iowa Ave., Suite 100, in Riverside, Calif.
