Stark and revealing, Pete Lamberto is not out to make happy shiny photos. Lamberto proves that the camera can often capture what the naked eye misses.
"My work has always, for the most part, been an interpretation of a melancholy that I'm deeply attracted to, but also alarmed and surely suffocated by," he says.
Lamberto is currently working on an exhibition piece in three chapters, with the working title "Variations of Black," a story that interprets the aftermath of sexual abuse of a young boy, and portrays his journey into adulthood, with the scars that are profoundly measured on his body and mind.
