San Franciscos National Queer Arts Festival features the opening of the Lesbian Gay Dance Festival and the exhibit Life After Death: Embracing the Queer Widow, both on Friday, June 15. The Lesbian and Gay Dance Festival, which was founded specifically to showcase gay and lesbian dance expression, runs through July 1 at the Dance Mission Theatre, 3316 24th St. For information call (415) 273-4633. Life After Death: Embracing the Queer Widow is a community-oriented exhibition-event that will feature a collaboration of interdisciplinary works created for, by, and about members of the queer community whose partners have died.
