Strand acquires Dutch feature Simon

Strand Releasing picked up North American rights to the Dutch film Simon at the recent Tribeca Film Festival, reports Variety. The film tells the story of two best friends--one straight, one gay--and what happens when one falls terminally ill. Simon was the Dutch entry to this year's foreign film category at the Academy Awards.
