During an episode of the Irish variety show A South Bank Special Tuesday night, pop star George Michael said he is convinced he has no gay fans. "Gay fans are only interested when you're in the closet," he said. "Once you're out, they don't give a toss."

Michael, 43, came out in April 1998 after he was arrested for "engaging in a lewd act" in a Beverly Hills public restroom. (The Advocate)
