The legendary rock band Queen tops the list as the best-selling British album of all time, the Official U.K. Charts Company said Thursday. Queen's Greatest Hits album has sold nearly 5.5 million copies in Britain since its release in 1981.

The band, fronted by the late Freddie Mercury, is famous for such overblown hits as "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We Will Rock You."

The band makes it onto the list a second time with Greatest Hits II at number 7 with 3.6 million copies sold.

The Beatles' 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Club Hearts band was second with 4.8 million copies sold, followed by Oasis's (What's The Story) Morning Glory? with 4.3 million. The list also included Abba's Gold, two Michael Jackson albums, and Madonna's Immaculate Collection. (The Advocate)
