Here Films
acquires award-winning Fat Girls

Here Films, a branch of LGBT-centric Here Networks, has acquired filmmaker Ash Christian's award-winning film Fat Girls for North American theatrical release, according to a press release.

The film also stars Christian, who plays a gay theater-obsessed high school student who, along with his overweight best friend, Sabrina (Ashley Wink), is searching for a date for the graduation dance.

Fat Girls has been screened at myriad film festivals, including Tribeca. The film also garnered Christian an Outfest award for "Outstanding Emerging Talent."

Here's sister company Regent Releasing will handle the film's theatrical release. (The Advocate)
