Julie Bowen Loves Jane Lynch

Modern Family star Julie Bowen downplayed the prospect of an Emmy win in the face of competition from Glee, telling reporters over the weekend, "Jane Lynch has it locked up."

Bowen talked with E! Online at the Breakthrough of the Year Awards in Hollywood on Sunday. Asked where she would put her Emmy if she wins August 29, Bowen dismissed the question.

"Oh, my God, first I'm going to take it out of your ass because there's no way I'm going to win an Emmy," said Bowen. "There's no way I will win an Emmy, it's ridiculously absurd that I was nominated. Jane Lynch has it locked up."

Bowen then gushed about her admiration for Glee and its out star.

"Yeah, I like Glee," she said. "I love Jane Lynch. I think she's fantastic because there's no one like her. The rest of us are all trying to compete to be cute and funny and she's like, 'F--k that. I'm just me and I'm awesome.'"
