Who thought that Pepsi commercial was a good idea anyway?

The ad got pulled after the internet erupted at the idea that Kendall Jenner and a can of soda could be cast as the solution for police brutality and worldwide division. Saturday Night Live imagined the moment its creator realized the whole thing is "sort of tone deaf" and "just kind of using them to sell soda."

The ad's actual director of photography, Bjorn Charpentier, told TMZ that he'd taken his inspiration for the storyline from a Vietnam War protester who presented a sunflower to riot police in 1967.
