Sara Ramirez and Cyndi Lauper Belt a Stunning Version of  'True Colors'

Sara Ramirez and Cyndi Lauper

Bisexual activist, actress, and Tony winner Ramirez and pop diva Lauper joined together to raise money for the 'True Colors' fund.

In a moment of pure synergy, pop diva and national treasure Cyndi Lauper, and bisexual activist, TV star, and Tony winner Sara Ramirez dueted on a stunning rendition of "True Colors," Lauper's 1986 ode to embracing uniqueness. Ramirez joined Lauper for Cyndi Lauper and Friends: Home for the Holidays at New York City's Beacon Theatre. The show benefited Lauper's True Colors Fund.

An LGBTQ ally since the start of her career, Lauper (who also wrote the music for Kinky Boots) launched the True Colors Fund in 2010.

The fund is an "organization working to end homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth, creating a world in which young people can be their true selves," according to its site.

Ramirez, a Tony winner for Spamalot, went on to make history as Grey's Anatomy's groundbreaking bisexual character Callie before coming out as bisexual herself in 2016. She currently stars as another bi character, Kat Sandoval, on Madam Secretary. Ramirez is also a tireless LGBTQ activist. For her performance with Lauper, she sported a one-piece jumper that read "trans is beautiful" on the back.

Hosted by original Queer Eye castmember Carson Kressley, the Home for the Holidays line-up also included Amanda Palmer, Angie Stone, A$AP Rocky, Bebe Rexha, Bishop Briggs, Charlie Musselwhite, Dr. Elmo, Gina Yashere, Natalie Merchant, Regina Spektor, Robert Glasper, Sara Ramirez, Shea Diamond, and The Knocks.
