In a first-time salute to Gay Pride 2005 in New York City, Lincoln Center will present a special series of events Tuesday, June 21, through Thursday, June 23, featuring both gay and straight talents in the arts, with appearances by such guests as playwright Paula Vogel and singers Patti LaBelle and Cyndi Lauper. Tuesday night's event celebrates gay and lesbian literature, with readings and discussions; Wednesday night sees the Josie Robertson Plaza open up for a night of swing dancing under the stars; and the series ends with a bang on Thursday night with a concert of music and dance. Lincoln Center is located between 62nd and 65th streets and Columbus and Amsterdam avenues in Manhattan's upper west side.
