In her latest bid
to gain support for replacing Hillary Clinton in the
U.S. Senate, Caroline Kennedy took questions from Politico.com last week,
seeking to put to rest criticism she lacks the
necessary experience to take the New York seat.
In her brief
answers -- submitted via her spokesperson -- Kennedy
expressed support for same-sex marriage equality.
President-elect Barack Obama, whom Kennedy endorsed
early in the Democratic primary race, has said he
support civil unions.
Kennedy kept each
of her answers brief, saying that she "supports full
equality and marriage rights for gay and lesbian
couples." She said she also supports President
Bush's approval of an auto bailout and opposed
the war in Iraq from the beginning. (Advocate.com)
