Sonja Morgan, one of the newer cast members on The Real Housewives of New York, declared herself a gay icon on Thursday's episode of the popular reality show.
Morgan was the grand marshal of a marriage equality march across the Brooklyn Bridge in September. The events of that day were shown on Thursday's episode, including Morgan mentioning her status as a gay idol. On the Watch What Happens Live! talk show, which follows most episodes of The Real Housewives of New York, Morgan answered a question posed about her icon status as well as one from fellow guest David Arquette about her same-sex experiences.
