Vilanch to write National Lampoon special

Openly gay Hollywood Squares writer-panelist (and Advocate columnist) Bruce Vilanch will cocreate and write "The National Lampoon Awards," a satirical TV special, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show will take a skewed look at current events, presented in an award-show format. The project is being shopped to cable and broadcast networks by the William Morris Agency.
