6. EVENT: The Significance of LGBT Pulp Fiction
Pulp fiction may have started out as a genre of subpar novels with racy subject matter, but so many of the titles that defined the genre have practically become classics, especially within LGBT fiction. Gay and lesbian pulp fiction started in the 1930s and exploded by the 1960s, creating a "golden age" of the era. Take a trip into the past (or down memory lane) with the One Archives Foundation's retrospective of LGBT Pulp Fiction Tuesday at the Palm Springs Public Library in Palm Springs, Calif., featuring author Katherine V. Forrest.  – Michelle Garcia
