Patricia
Charbonneau, star of the 1986 film Desert Hearts,
will make three appearances with director Donna Deitch
to promote the lesbian film's release on a
special two-disc DVD. Charbonneau and Deitch will sign
copies at the Virgin Megastore Union Square in New
York City. They then head to Los Angeles on June 20 to
judge a look-alike contest of the film's two main
characters, Chardonneau's bad girl Cay Rivers and Helen
Shaver's Vivian Bell. Deitch will also participate in
a Q&A with attendees.
Fans in Los
Angeles can get their DVDs signed by Charbonneau,
Deitch, and Shaver on June 21 at the Virgin Megastore before
an after-party at the East|West Lounge.
In Desert
Hearts, Shaver stars as an uptight Columbia
University professor who travels to Reno for a divorce.
Charbonneau plays a feisty, much younger casino worker who
meets Shaver on the road and tries to woo her.
