Jean-Marc Vallee's C.R.A.Z.Y., a French-language drama focusing on the troubled relationship between a father and his young gay son, is not only a huge box-office success in Quebec; it's also garnered 12 Genie Award nominations from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, reports Variety. Nominations include Best Picture and Best Director, as well as Best Actor nods for Michel Cote (who plays the father) and Marc-Andre Grondin (who plays Zachary, his son). The 26th annual Genie Awards will be given out on March 13 in Toronto. C.R.A.Z.Y. was the top-grossing film of the year in Canada, taking in $5.1 million. (Advocate.com)
