Richard Linklater to direct Mike White's School of Rock

Legendary indie director Richard Linklater (Slacker, Dazed and Confused, Waking Life) has signed on to direct School of Rock, scripted by out writer Mike White (The Good Girl, Chuck & Buck), reports Variety. The comedy will star Jack Black as a musician who moonlights as a substitute teacher and how his unorthodox pedagogic style shakes up a stodgy private school.
