New DVD releases include <i>Monster, The Wire</i>, and <I>Anatomy of Hell</i> (14910)

Several films of gay and lesbian interest make their DVD debuts on Tuesday, January 24. Charlize Theron is featured in two new home video releases: Monster: Special Edition (Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment), featuring her Oscar-winning turn as lesbian multiple murderer Aileen Wuornos, and John Duigan's wartime romance Head in the Clouds, which features Penelope Cruz as one of Theron's former lovers. Also hitting stores Tuesday are HBO's acclaimed and queer-inclusive police drama The Wire: The Complete Second Season (HBO Video) and French filmmaker Catherine Breillat's harrowing and sexually explicit Anatomy of Hell (Tartan Video), which features European straight-porn star Rocco Siffredi (who appeared in Breillat's Romance) as a gay man.
