Tribeca Film Festival includes Craig Chester's Adam & Steve
The 2005 Tribeca Film Festival, which runs April 19 to May 1 in New York City, has announced its lineup, which includes several films of queer interest. Out actor Craig Chester (Swoon, Kiss Me Guido) makes his directorial debut with the romantic comedy Adam & Steve, which will have its world premiere at the festival. Starring Chester, Malcolm Gets, Parker Posey, and Chris Kattan, the film revolves around two couples, one gay and one straight. Also of interest to gay audiences will be two documentaries in competition: John Catania and Charles Ignacio's The Lady in Question Is Charles Busch, about the legendary actor-playwright, and Gay Sex in the 70s, directed by Joseph Lovett, about sexuality in the pre-AIDS era.
