The nightmare
just keeps getting worse for beloved Oscar-winner Jennifer
Hudson: Her 7-year-old nephew was found dead in an SUV
parked on the west side of Chicago, just days after
the singer's mother and brother were found murdered in
their Chicago-area home.
The body of
Julian King -- the son of Hudson's older sister, Julia
-- was found in a white Chevrolet Suburban after a
local man reported a suspicious vehicle parked outside
his home, reports the Chicago Tribune. Law
enforcement officials said King was shot several
times in the back of the van.
King was reported
missing after Darnell Donerson and Jason Hudson --
Hudson's mother and brother, respectively -- were found shot
to death on Friday after a family member visited their
home. The Dreamgirls star offered a $100,000 reward
to anyone who could help locate King.
Twenty-seven-year-old William Balfour, the estranged husband
of Julia Hudson, was brought in for questioning on
Friday night. According to law enforcement sources,
Balfour's girlfriend contradicted his alibi.
Balfour and Julia Hudson had been separated for some time,
according to reports, and a family friend told the
Tribune that Balfour recently had threatened to
take Julian away.
Jennifer Hudson
is reportedly in Chicago now and just hours ago was said
to be en route to the medical examiner's office to identify
the body. (Neal Broverman, The Advocate)
