The red carpet is rolled out in Los Angeles for the Screen Actors Guild awards on Sunday night, and Annette Bening and Natalie Portman look like top contenders for the awards' best actress award.
At the Golden Globes, Portman and Bening both won trophies for their performances in Black Swan and The Kids Are All Right, respectively -- but the Globes have separate categories for dramas and comedies. At the SAG Awards, like at the Oscars next month, the two much-loved actresses are pitted against each other.
In her nominated role, Portman portrays a bi-curious ballerina coming apart at the seams, while Bening plays a strong lesbian mom in The Kids Are All Right.
Other nominees include Colin Firth, Christian Bale, and True Grit's Hailee Steinfeld. The SAG Awards air live on TNT and TBS at 8 p.m. ET.
