The Kaiser Family
Foundation and the National Alliance of State and
Territorial AIDS Directors are releasing their annual survey
of AIDS Drug Assistance Programs in the 50 states, the
District of Columbia, territories, and associated
jurisdictions; and sponsoring a policy forum on March
30 in Washington to discuss the implications of proposed
policy changes. Among the topics for discussion at the

their clients have adapted to the new Medicare Part D
Prescription Drug Benefit and what lessons were learned
for ADAPs and the Ryan White CARE Act from the experience of
Hurricane Katrina. Speakers will include: Murray
Penner of NASTAD; Jennifer Kates of the Kaiser Family
Foundation; Shana Christup, a staff member for Sen.
Michael Enzi; Connie Garner, a staff member for Sen. Edward
Kennedy; Jay Adams of the West Virginia Department of
Health and Human Resources; M. Beth Scalco of the
Louisiana Office of Public Health; and Dwayne Haught
of the Texas Department of State Health Services. The
meeting will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the
Barbara Jordan Conference Center in the Kaiser Family
Foundation Building, 1330 G St. NW. For more
