Pedro Almodovar will premiere his new film,
Volver, in Spain in March, reports Expatica.com.
The film, which reunites the director with Carmen
Maura--who starred in Women on the Verge of a
Nervous Breakdown and many of his early
hits--deals with a woman's return from the afterlife
and with the culture of death in rural Spain.
Following the Oscar-winning Talk to Her and the
critical smash Bad Education, Volver marks
Almodovar's return to working with a principally
female cast; the film costars Penelope Cruz, Lola
Duenas, and Blanca Portillo. Volver is set
to open in the United States this summer.
