U.K. tabloid says
al-Qaeda is seeking HIV-positive suicide bombers

The U.K. tabloid the Sunday Mirror reports that the terror network al-Qaeda is recruiting suicide bombers who are infected with HIV so that those who survive their attacks might possibly be infected with the disease. The newspaper reports that a document distributed to U.K. military camps in Iraq and across Europe claims that terrorists also are deliberately recruiting bombers infected with hepatitis and dengue fever to increase their kill rate from suicide attacks. The document reportedly says that bone fragments that can penetrate the skin and carry disease-causing pathogens have been found as far away as 50 yards from the center of an explosion set off by suicide bombers. U.K. soldiers are being warned to wear special protective clothing while on duty or if they have to handle casualties of a bombing, according to the Mirror. (Advocate.com)
