Gay producers rule Golden Globes
Out producer-creators were responsible for both TV series winning Golden Globe awards on Sunday. Ryan Murphy's nip/tuck took the award for Best Dramatic TV Series, while ABC's Desperate Housewives, created by Marc Cherry, won for Best Comedy Series. Housewives star Teri Hatcher also won for Best Leading Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series.
Hilary Swank, who won a Golden Globe for Best Lead Actress in Drama in 2001 for her transgender role as Brandon Teena in Boys Don't Cry, won her second such statuette for playing a boxer in Clint Eastwood's Million Dollar Baby.
