Jesus' Death, July 24-27 in L.A.

Revival Center Christian Theater Church presents Witness, a full-length play told in an emotional series of monologues about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, July 24-27 in Los Angeles.

Witness, written by Revival Center's pastor, the Reverend Joe Alway-Baker, and his life partner, Bart Baker, is the story of six individuals who witnessed that fateful day: Mary, mother of Jesus; Mary Magdalene; his disciple Peter; his disciple Judas; a Roman soldier; and a prostitute.

Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 p.m. as well as Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Actor's Playpen, 1514 N. Gardner St. A preview of Revival Center's upcoming production Broadway With a Christian Twist will follow Sunday's show. Tickets are $15 at the door and $12 in advance.
