Trans Woman Sues City for Cop Groping

A transgender woman in Portland, Ore., is suing the city after a police officer allegedly grabbed her breasts and genitals.

Kevin Macho, the police officer involved in the case, pulled over Chloe Lucero, 27, for erratic driving in November 2008 as she was making her way home from brunch with her family, according to the The Oregonian. Lucero claims he yanked her out of the car by her arm and then proceeded to "viciously and hurtfully" grope her breasts and genitalia in a bodily search.

Typical procedure would usually involve Macho waiting for a female officer to conduct any search more invasive than a pat-down to check for weapons.

Macho found no evidence of drinking, so he wrote Lucero a ticket for failing to signal, according to the report.
