On Monday's episode of The View, conservative cohost Elisabeth Hasselbeck condemned anti-gay marriage protesters in New York.
Hasselbeck, who in the past has defended former New York Giants wide receiver David Tyree in his stance against marriage equality, said the protests were "uncalled for," adding that "to protest someone's day I find to be without taste."
She added, "The only thing that's killing [heterosexual marriage] is heterosexual marriage."
During the discussion, Whoopi Goldberg added, "If you're not into gay marriage, don't marry a gay person!"
The state began allowing same-sex couples to marry Sunday.
