A safer-sex poster designed by Taiwan's Taipei United Hospital has drawn sharp criticism from the nation's Catholics, Deutsche Presse-Agentur reports. The poster, displayed in the city's subways, features an image of a middle-aged woman in a nun's habit who is holding a wrapped condom, with the tagline "Although I don't use it, I know what it is." Catholics in the city were outraged that the campaign suggests that the church supports condom use; Catholic dogma prohibits the use of any form of birth control, even to prevent HIV infections. Catholic groups in Taipei are calling on Taipei United Hospital to immediately remove all copies of the poster from public sites in the city.
