Fifteen men were
arrested in a Knoxville, Tenn., park after a sting
revealed the spot to be a meeting place for gay sex. CBS TV
affiliate WVLT in Knoxville reported Tuesday that the
14 of the 15 men, ages ranging from 33 to 62, were
charged with indecent exposure and some also with drug
possession, resisting arrest, and assault. One was charged
with disorderly conduct.
Police told the
station that gays in Knoxville have been gathering in
Tyson Park and that this was not the first time arrests have
been made for indecent exposure in the city. According
to the report, police arrested men five years ago in
another park when children living adjacent to the area
spotted them. (The Advocate)
