The road to romance hasn't been an easy one for Jamal lately.
His refusal to come out publicly caused his boyfriend Michael to movie out in last week's episode, claiming Jamal's love of music trumped any connection they had.
However, Empire's gritty gay artist finds Michael isn't the only one vying for his affection in tonight's new episode of the hit Fox series.
