A building housing several gay rights groups in San Diego has been evacuated because a swath of mold was contaminating the building after heavy rains.
Tenants include Equality California, Marriage Equality USA, the Courage Campaign, the San Diego Alliance for Marriage Equality, Californians Against Hate, and Restore Equality 2010, according to the Gay and Lesbian Times.
Heavy rain in November aggravated an already active mold problem, as the building was deteriorating from severe water damage. The organizations were looking to renovate and negotiate their lease with the building's owners, Marriage Equality USA field coordinator Fernando Lopez told the newspaper.
