Unlike Donald Trump, some Republicans are drawing a line in the sand when it comes to supporting alleged pedophiles.
Tim Miller -- the out former communications director for Jeb Bush's unsuccessful presidential campaign last year -- tweeted that he donated to Doug Jones, the Democratic challenger to embattled Senate candidate Roy Moore. The twice-fired Alabama judge is now accused by numerous women of praying on them when they were teenagers, some as young as 14.
“I just donated to a Democrat for the first time in my life if any of yall want to do so as well. Enough is enough. https://t.co/YlDXTXSnyJ”— Tim Miller (@Tim Miller) 1511298617
Miller is an ardent critic of President Trump and once worked for an anti-Trump political action committee. Though he identifies as a Republican, he contributes to the Crooked Media website, which is affiliated with former Obama staffers.
The odiousness of Moore is not lost on Miller, who lobbed criticism at another gay Republican and vague-Moore-apologist, GOProud cofounder Chris Barron.
“By mocking and belittling people who are encouraging support for Moore's opponent you are defending and providing cover for Roy Moore whether you admit it to yourself or not. https://t.co/v797ySFZZK”— Tim Miller (@Tim Miller) 1511304558
